- The total number of coronavirus infections reported in the last 7 days was 237,064 while in the last 28 days 1,143,211 infections have been reported.
- 1,157 deaths due to coronavirus have been reported in the last 7 days.
- The number of deaths in the past week equates on average to around 165 deaths each of the past 7 days. If this was to be the โnew normalโ for daily deaths caused by Covid-19, then annually this would equate to around 60,329 deaths. There is nothing normal about that. What is acceptable about this potential level of annual deaths?
- 4,262 deaths due to Covid-19 have been reported in the UK in the last 28 days โ the highest 28-day figure since 24 March 2021.
- 823 Covid-19 hospital admissions occurred on 06 November 2021 โ according to the latest health care data for the UK as a whole.
- 8,859 patients suffering from Covid-19 are currently occupying hospital beds as of 09 November 2021.
- 1,023 Covid-19 patients are occupying mechanical ventilation beds โ according to the data reported on 09 November 2021.
- All three of the healthcare measures [above] are an increasing concern for our now seriously over-stretched NHS.
SO FAR:
- 650 days since the first infection due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus was reported in Britain (31 January 2020).
- 614 days since the first reported death (7 March 2020).
- Coronavirus has now been responsible for infecting over 9.4 million people (9,406,001 reported, to be precise) in the UK (according to the official reported positive cases data).
- In this time, the virus has been responsible for at least 142,338 deaths (within 28 days of first positive test result). Official data also currently indicate there have been 165,534 deaths in total, where the deceased personโs death certificate mentioned COVID-19 as one of the causes, registered up to Friday 29 October 2021, according to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

- 9 in 10 students have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose
โThe majority (91%) of students in England say they have received at least one coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine dose,โ according to the Student COVID-19 Insights Survey (SCIS) by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The ONS explains that โa significantly higher proportion of students had been fully vaccinated by late October (85%) than late September (78%).
โThose who had received at least one vaccine dose were significantly more likely to request a test if they developed symptoms (95%) than unvaccinated students (73%).
โOf the minority of students who were unvaccinated (8%), around half (51%) said they were unlikely to take a vaccine if offered, while a third (32%) said they would be likely to take a vaccine if offered.
โAround half of the students had taken a COVID-19 test in the previous seven days (49%).โ
