The index on nuclear weapons shows that Russia and the US have the most nuclear weapons in the world, while China and other countries have much fewer. Worrying at a time when the world is currently facing multiple geopolitical tensions.


According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the world’s nuclear weapons are concentrated in the hands of a few powerful nations.

Russia leads the pack with 6,255 warheads, followed closely by the United States with 5,550. China trails far behind with only 350 warheads, while France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, Israel, and North Korea round out the list with smaller stockpiles.
