A recent survey conducted by YouGov asked Brits to assess the current state of the UK in comparison to 2010. If Rishi Sunak and the Tories believe they have a chance to win a general election this year, the findings of this survey suggest they may be in for an unpleasant surprise.

O verall, the poll (based on a sample of 2,079 GB adults collected on 8 January 2024) suggests that a significant majority of the respondents (75%) feel that “things are worse to some degree” now compared to 2010, when the Conservatives came to power in coalition with the Liberal Democrats.
